Taking the pill from a young age purely for skin purposes and years of antibiotics which come with their own side effects. These treatments worked initially and then my body became immune. I was prescribed a 6 month dosage of Oratane which is the generic of Roaccutane from my GP. Oratane is covered by most medical aids and comes at a much lesser price than the non-generic. I saw results after 3 weeks. The side affects vary from person to person. Your skin will definitely be very dry and thin so stay out of the sun as much as possible to avoid any permanent skin damage. Wear sunscreen, hats and light clothing to cover your skin if sun exposure is unavoidable. My eyes became extremely photosensitive. Sunglasses are mandatory for me even on overcast days. Even years later after being off the medication. I went on 2x 6 month courses of Oratane. Check ups with your GP or Dermatologist are critical in order to evaluate your blood work as side effects are inevitable. My skin cleared up really nicely and I used other topical creams for scars. I still have breakouts but none as bad as before Oratane. I wouldn't take this medication again as I wouldn't want to expose myself to potential side effects. I am just absolutely stunned with how amazing this range works. My skin is fully clear, less oily and so vibrant. I no longer have a combination skin, my face isn't oily. My breakouts have decreased and I feel so much more confident about my skin. I am definitely ready to step into the spotlight! The daily wash as well as the smooth scrub have left me skin feeling fresh,brighter and evened out .I have not had any blemishes or pimples since using the range and I’m loving the results thus far, the only downfall I have found is that the moisturizer dries my skin out way too much in certain areas due to my combination skin . During the first few days of using this product, my skin did break out a bit, as a process of removing the dirt from beneath my skin. I have been using the daily wash and smoothing scrub together every day. When I apply them one after the other, my skin feels smoother as well as more refreshed. The Daily wash is used to remove impurities whereas the smoothing scrub is used an exfoliator that helps to enhance the spot fighting process. So far, I'm pleased with these two products. I use the moisturizer and purifying toner together every day as well. I normally apply the purifying toner onto a piece of cotton wool/ balls and dab it onto my face after a hot shower. This product is alcohol-free which I love and leaves my skin refreshed without overdrying it. Thereafter I use the moisturizer to hydrate my skin. As I have dry skin, this also makes my skin feel soft without clogging my pores. The wash and mask is used at most 2 times a week. It can be used as a daily cleanser but I feel that if I use it too often, my skin becomes overdry. I apply it to my steamed face and remove it on after 20 minutes. So, it's been a week since I started using these products and I honestly am very impressed with the results so far. I originally gave this range 4 stars for the price rating but have now changed it to a 5. Considering how these products have improved the appearance and texture of my skin in such a short time, it is DEFINITELY worth the price. My skin is much less oily and feels so fresh after use. My blackheads on my nose have also become almost non existent which I am very happy about. I noticed that a few reviewers mentioned the stickiness of the toner but once the toner has dried on the face, it isn't sticky anymore and actually makes my skin feel so refreshed and healthy. The moisturizer has also been AMAZING so far and absorbs so well into my skin. In my package there was 5 products- Daily Wash (200ml, R109,95), Smoothing Scrub(150ml, R109,95), Purifying Toner (200ml,R109,95), 2in1 Wash/Mask(150ml, R109,95) and Oil-Free Moisturiser(50ml, R109,95). When I pumped out the wash, I immediately got a citrus scent which was lovely and awakening to the senses. I reached for all the other products and starting smelling them(as I could have sat and smelt them all day, yes its that amazing). I started using the products and I loved them. The wash is a gel formula, hence perfect for oily skin and did not dry out my skin. The scrub has orange microbeads which cleansed my skin, without stripping it.The toner was a little tacky/sticky after application, but once dried my skin was soft. The mask is a white mask that has a citrus feel when I applied it, but within those 5 minutes, I felt it really pulled out dirt and impurities from my face. The oil-free moisturiser hydrated and smoothed my skin without clogging my pores, however I felt that it had quite a tingly sensation on my skin(maybe due to the citrus ingredients). Overall I loved the products in the beginning. I think its amazing for summer, as the citrus scent and oil-free is perfect for summer days.
