It's a little sticky at first but after a few few moments it sinks into the skin and all you're left with is a layer of lightweight hydration (so worry not if you're not a fan of "sticky" moisturizers. For my fellow makeup enthusiasts, take advantage of the tacky/sticky stage of absorption and go in with your primer of foundation, thank me later ;) Effectiveness: It's immediately noticeable and so long lasting. Usually I wake up with my skin tight and dry but ever since using this my skin is soft to the touch and and appears lively. My skin is fuller and more plump! Performance: The difference in my skin is noticeable IMMEDIATELY! Having used hyaluronic acid before, I know that results are immediate but can fade/evaporate and need reapplying but with this cream I haven't had to reapply. I love how lightweight it is and how easily absorbed it is! I've always been a fan of hyaluronic acid especially because of my dry skin but this hydrator was my first introduction to Super Hyaluronic Acid. And needless to say, I'm obsessed with this complex! My skin has went from feeling dry and tight to feeling hydrated and bouncy. I've also gotten compliments from loved ones about how soft my skin feels. A lot of people/strangers have complimented me on my great complexion and "clear" skin, when in actuality I still have hyperpigmentation but because this hydrator has left my skin hydrated and radiant, my skin appears brighter, healthier and more even. Hada Labo Tokyo definitely delivered performance-wise. Both immediately and over the past weeks. Immediately, I could feel it's hydrating effect and over time I've seen how supple and bouncy my skin is, even in the morning when waking up. I've used an essence of a similar nature before which came at about a third of the price of this one but the effects were nowhere close to those of this Hydrator! The Restorative Night Cream is amazingly rich in texture without being too heavy as some Anti Aging night creams tend to be. Infused with Macadamia Oil and Cocoa Butter I loved the rich hydration and feeling of natural plump and improved elasticity. The Intensive Firming Serum is my favorite, the delicate fragrance is exquisite and I love how the Cocoa butter locks in moisture. I really enjoyed the light gel-cream consistency. My skin certainly appeared more refined and felt so smooth. I didn't find it too necessary but it all comes down to preference. I did find that adding it on top of the other creams was tricky to apply but maybe it was just me. It seemed a bit too watery with the consistency compared the the creaminess of the day and night creams from the Purely Ageless range. I would rather use this product with out the creams in my opinion.
