The silicon really cleans and dries quickly after use and it has all the different sizes for different brushes. Does not work great for sponges (I recommend your hands and soap and then microwaving the sponge after to kill all the germs). You can easily make a dupe for this egg though with a hot glue gun on a suitable surface. This sponge however will need to be replaced after a while. Mine lasted a good 5,6 months or so being used every single day. But one day, I followed a pinterest hack on cleaning my sponge with salt etc. in the microwave and it shrunk to almost nothing and never recovered. I went about my usual makeup routine, including my mascara and lipstick application and ended it off with a few sprays of the mist over my face. It took way under a minute to dry and I immediately noticed a smoother appearance to my face and a beautiful dewy look which is a must for me. The angled brush is great for precision gel liner application and even for fleeky brows. I haven't used the third one as much as the other two but I use it for some definition under my eyes. I was still in need of finding a brush that felt like velvet but gave me the air brushed finish. I was introduced to the Real Technique brushes at a Make-up expo and fell in love with the results. I bought myself the Expert Face Brush, The starter kit and the core collection kit from clicks. It set me back a good few pennies, well actually R1800-00 to be correct. I went home like a kid that god a ton of sweets, super excited and eager to play. I took them all out and analysed them in detailed. I had tried each brush out with my different products, that I do have, I played for hours and each time i achieved an Airbrush finish with a soft velvet feel of a brush. I was so impressed i tried it on varies friends to see if the effect is the same. to my surprise... Yes... it was... I don't regret buying them, it just takes a while of saving to buy all the brushes launched by Real Techniques. A few months later I bought the og beautyblender, to see if it's really that much different and better than the Cala Beauty Sponge. I was surprised to find that this sponge gives the exact same finish as the beautyblender, at a fraction of the price! Although the beautyblender is softer, less dense and a little more bouncier, it's just the same as this beauty sponge. I'm very picky when it comes to my powder- and blush brushes, I absolutely love this one! It's just the right density, while being so so soft. Great quality and it's a dream to wash, because it doesn't lose any of the brush hairs and maintains it's softness. The size is also great, it's not too big so it's easy to use all over your face. The brushes come with YouTube tutorials for us who are not so experienced The finish that I get when I use this brush looks so professional and flawless, I was thoroughly impressed with my skills. It's synthetic and soft on my skin. I use 1 pump of foundation, dab dots in selected spots on my face the blend and blend and blend till I have done my whole face. This has been the most effective way for me so far. I don't end up with streaks and tell tale lines on my face or neck. I use less product to get the coverage that I want when using this brush. This means less time in front of the mirror doing my make-up. This brush paired with the right foundation for your skin tone and skin type, you're on your way to fleeking, beyps. I love it!! I've used so many brushes and sponges to apply make-up in the past, but NOTHING can compare to this beauty! The price above R100, but worth every single cent you spend. I apply everything from my BB cream to my foundation with this brush.The brush is super soft, yet lovely dense bristles caressing your face. I usually put the product either directly on my face, or directly on the brush when I don't want to use too much product. I start with circular motions over my face and then I start buffing in the product. With this brush there are no tell tale lines (as I tend to find with my MAC brush) of your make-up, the product is blended into your skin creating the most beautiful canvas! I love this brush so much, I'd cry if I ever lose it. What's great is that Real Techniques do sets of their brushes, so you can buy them in a collection for either your face or eyes. It is so soft, but at the same time so dense that it blends out cream, liquid and powder foundation like a dream. It is a really good quality and very affordable brush. Mine has not yet shed a single hair and I have had it for quite some time. I use it pretty much daily and I have washed it a bunch. It does not soak up a lot of product and it leaves a non-streaky finish on the skin. If you do not own this brush yet - you need to definitely rush out and get it. I bought this brush about 5 years ago at the MAC store in Canal Walk. I've loved and hated this product in the past, but the more I watched great make-up tutorials the more I started using this brush, and I do love it again. I like to apply my foundation with this brush, but end it off with a Real Techniques buffing brush just to get that even finish. The brush is soft on your face, but can leave some streaks if you're not careful, I've also had some of the bristles fall out. Most satisfying thing about this brush is when you wash it, the tip becomes that beautiful white again. I promise you guys I use this brush every single day and it had never disappointed me, ever! As mentioned before, I use a similar brush, just with a smaller head and shorter bristles to apply my eye-shadow, I then use my Blending brush to blend in those hard edges that were created with the application. An eye shadow blender brush that consists of white pony hair bristles. I absolutely adore this brush - it is my current favourite. It was super affordable at R150 from Takealot and I am definitely going to purchase more brushes. It picks up eye shadow perfectly and blends it out with little to no effort. It works perfectly and quickly for blending out your crease colour. Another great thing about the brush is that it has not shed at all.
