I was also kindly sent a couple of extra packs of wipes, plus their cotton pads and cotton buds. The Eco-Facial Wipes come either in a pack of 24 or a pack of 60. There are also three variants: normal (blue), oily / combination (pink) and sensitive / dry (purple). Whilst the 24 pack comes with a stickable seal (perfect to take it around with you), I do like that the 60 pack comes with the stickable seal and a lid despite it being bulkier. All of the wipes are lightly fragranced, they are gentle on the skin, are pH balanced, alcohol and paraben free and, best of all, are biodegradable! The variant for normal skin contains rooibos & papaya extract rich in powerful anti-oxidants, keeping skin hydrated. The one for oily / combo skin contains lemon, ivy & sage extract to reduce oiliness, hydrate skin, and prevent localized drying in combination skin whereas the sensitive / dry variant contains sea fennel & chamomile extract to soothe skin, keeping it moisturised and hydrated. I can vouch for all of their claims, my only gripe with the wipes? They are sadly ineffective at removing makeup. That's kinda the whole point of the wipes, so not worth the buy in my opinion. However, the thing that this experience has taught me, Cherubs is an awesome brand and I so appreciate that they produce biodegradable products! Now, one thing you may not know about me, I have baby wipes and anti-bacterial wipes with me almost everywhere. I have them in my makeup room, in my car, in my desk drawer, in my gym bag, in my airplane cosmetics bag and in my handbag. I am so impressed with the Cherubs brand that I am now going to replace all of my current baby wipes with Cherubs! Despite this review being based around the makeup wipes, the real stars for me are the cotton pads and cotton buds! I did not know that cotton pads weren't biodegradable (I am ashamed, no need for hate please)?! I have been flushing cotton pads (not buds though) for years! So, I am also now switching to both the Cherubs cotton pads and buds. Added bonus? The cotton pads are super soft and effective for both removing makeup or nail polish. I arrived in Cape Town last year April and while I was only supposed to be here for 3 months a year later I’m still here so basically this has become my home away from home. Dam levels are now at an all-time low with bordering close to 100 days of water supply available, almost every media source out there urges us to be more water wise and do your part to save water. It has come to a stage where they are even issuing fines to people and businesses who refuse to comply with the water restrictions. I know you may be wondering what exactly does this have to do with manicures, but in reality it has a lot to do with your manicure, from a personal perspective when it comes to my hands I am a bit pedantic about cleanliness, the industry that I work in is not the cleanest nor the most glamourous, don’t get me wrong it’s not that I’m afraid to get my hands dirty manicure or not I have no issues with getting my hands covered in grease, hard work didn’t hurt anyone, my issue is letting them stay dirty. My paranoia started when I started calling on board vessels in the port, my colleague and I walked into one of the Captain’s cabins for a meeting, as we walked in he just so happened to be cutting his toenails, when he saw us he politely dusted his hands and extended his hand to me for a hand shake. Well that was my ever end! The rest of the meeting all I could think of was how I had this man’s toe jam on my hands!!!! That incident birthed my obsession with sanitizers and wet wipes. I’m am highly impressed with the effectiveness of the wipes, from past experiences if I did not remove my make-up properly I would wake up in the morning with puffy eyes and by the end of the week I would be stuck with a major breakout because of how sensitive my skin is. I am currently using the sensitive facial wipes because I do suffer from eczema but using the wipes has not affected my skin in any way. The product is effective as I use a maximum of two wipes to clean my face completely. The first to remove the make-up and the second to cleanse completely and clear any left behind make-up. In the mornings I do not wake up with my eyes puffy at all. This range has two different types of wipes for different skin types; I have been using the one for dry skin as my skin is more dry. I have found the wipes work really well for my skin as they do not dry my skin out. the wipes are quite moist which allows the makeup to break down easily without having to pull and drag at my skin. The wipes have a pleasant smell but nothing that would bother you or stay on your face for too long. I have also found that even just wiping your skin with these in the heat helps keep your skin hydrated and clean. The packaging has allowed me to keep the wipes neatly stored in my handbag. Along with this I use the Cherubs Cotton Pads to further clean my skin and remove any excess makeup. This range has really impressed me due to it's effectivity along with it's price. These wipes are much more affordable to others on the market. I've used it twice and love how effective they are in removing makeup. I must, however, mention that they're not the best to use for removing waterproof mascara but it's waterproof mascara after all so I wasn't expecting it to do so with ease. These wipes feel really soft on the skin and leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated. I also received a pack of 24 of the sensitive/dry skin facial wipes as well as the normal facial skin wipes. I do have sensitive skin but not dry at all so I'll give these for my mom to try out. I will definitely give the pack for normal skin a try to see how well they work. What I love about these wipes is that they are all infused with extracts for different skin types and needs. These are ingredients that are known to work amazingly well for the different skin type. To use, heat up product in microwave for no more than 20seconds, apply to feet and rub in gently for about 2mins. Rinse thoroughly and dry feet. Avoid overheating the product. After a quick read-through of the instructions, I decided to tear open the packet and dive in. It is very easy to use. Clean and dry your feet. Put the booties that are supplied on your feet. Leave them to brew for 20 minutes. When you apply the booties, it feels creamy and a bit wet. I just relaxed on the couch for 20 minutes. At some point I wondered whether this product would actually work as I did not experience any sensation on my feet at all. I thought it either warm up or cool down my feet as it contains peppermint and clearly smells of it. After 20 minutes I was a bit hesitant to remove them, as I haven't felt any sensation yet. I took them off, massaged the residual cream that was left on my feet into my skin and put on some comfy socks. After about 5 minutes of wearing my normal socks, the peppermint sensation kicked in and my feet were warmed up and I could feel the mask working. Today, my feet is extremely soft like a baby's bottom. The lesson I learnt with this product is to be patient and allowing time for the product to do it's job properly. Would I repurchase it? My favourite is a bit more pricey than others so I am always on the look out for a cheaper good quality hand sanitiser. I bought the sensitive version of the Clicks Hygiene waterless sanitiser as it states it is dermatologically tested with soothing Aloe Vera. Anyone who uses hand sanitisers knows how drying and harsh they can be on the skin so I figured a little aloe vera could only help. Alas the sanitiser did not seem to evaporate as fast as others and left my hands sticky. To be certain I also tried the original formulation with shea butter but I was left with the same feeling. The only thing going for Clicks Hygiene waterless sanitiser is its price relative to other brands.
