They are creamy enough to go on comfortably, but matte enough to last all day on the lips. I like that they don't just come crashing down onto your lips in full force & that you have the option to build up the intensity. The shade selection is also pretty impressive, however, I would like to see some peachy / orange hues. I also have Black Current for my Rebel lippie and Redd for my favourite red, Red Rock. For my Diva lippie, I got Burgandy which just gives you that flawless and crisp edge. Do I want more...uhhh Yesss! With such a variety, there are many still for me to try out. They are long lasting and the ones I have aren't drying at all. I find that I need to 'heat' it up on the back of my hand to apply extra smooth. There is a tiny bit of tugging. The pigmentation is amazing - I could honestly use it with just a lip balm on top. It lasts pretty long (maybe 5 to 6 hours), especially if I fill in my whole lip. All in all, I think that it's a great product for the price. I'm not a huge lipstick fan but with my essence lip liner and a gloss there is no look I can not create even an ombre. Tom Ford Beauty will give you all the confidence and more, I personally love this brand because of the quality and the luxe art decor aesthetic of the packaging. I was looking for a lip colour that was moisturising but still gave a lot of payoff in terms of pigment and colour and after alot of intense ( read fun) research, I thought i would try out the Tom Ford Lip Colour Shine. BARE * CHASTITY*SMITTEN*LUST* QUIVER those are the names of some of my favourite shades, but Quiver made me do just that to the point where I decided to take it home. Quiver is mauvey pink with a slight golden, bronzy shimmer and a luxurious luminous finish. I was really impressed with the amount of moisture it brought to my lips it was like using the La Mer balm with an amazing pigment. It hydrates and gives amazing lip colour with a shine. Any concerns I had with the Tom ford range not suiting my skin tone was thrown out the door due to the fact that a lot of the beauty range has a lot of warm undertones and it brings you one stepped closer to be a Tom Ford Bronzed Goddess. It lasts a long time and it's amazing in terms of pay off its definitely worth the $55 dollars I paid. When I first opened this product, I was impressed by the pink hue. I received Pink Bouquet and was eager to use it for my next girly look. I was sorely disappointed as when applying to my lips it was a huge difference compared to my first impression swatch on my hand. On my lips, the liner did not move smoothly across the surface of my lips. I did not have the liner out very much, as I am aware this causes breaks. Even with my cautious nature, my liner broke on my lip. After a lot of patience, gentle strokes and going over the colour – I finally managed to get the perfect tone. This requires more work than it should, it is not pigmented enough and is too hard to slide across your lips. I was lucky enough to receive it from Beauty Bulletin to try out and the verdict: I love it! It is a beautiful color it goes well with pink/red tinted lipsticks and it can be used on its own. All you need to do is make sure you apply some lip Balm on before application for a smooth finish. However 'colour bleeding' into your skin is not the most attractive look. So needless to say receiving a lip liner to review was more than a bit daunting. My first thoughts on this particular shade was that it was one of the most beautiful pinks I have ever seen, leaning towards a darker/duller pink if I could call it that. And have made a mental note to check with my Avon on which lipstick is closest to this shade. I love that it is retractable, saving the hassle of sharpening and general mess and fuss that seems to accompany the pencil types. I was quite taken back and utterly thrilled at how pigmented the colour is, only one effortless swipe and you will have achieved the shade of the liner. It has a luxurious soft feel to it, yet is firm enough to be able to get a clear line. Hands down one of the nicest ones I have tried, and even though I am a beginner in the art of lip lining, this has encouraged me to carry on my quest in achieving master status. I've always been a lover of AVON products but never wear lip liner due it's rigid contouring and preferring a more natural look. However, application of this product was a soft and smooth, gliding action which blended into my skin tone without creating a "colour block" on my lips lol. Lipstick stuck nicely and complimented the lip liner (unlike previous experience with lip liner!). And when you tend to love so many different shades all at once, it is a better idea to go and get some lip liners in those shades before you make an expensive purchase. I hate spending big bucks on something which I am not sure of and essence brand comes to my rescue all the time. Essence lip liner in 050 Soft Berry is a nice berry shade, which is 2-3 shades darker than my nude lips. Its more of a dark brown pink (I honestly don't know how else to describe this color ;-)) that easily hides pigmentation and gives a nice color to lips. Top it off with a clear gloss and you are good to go. These lip liners are soft and creamy and stay put for around 2-3 hrs leaving behind a nice tint. I have to say that the results have been amazing so far! The rich and creamy formula makes for a smooth application that lasts. After giving "In the nude" a try I went back to get more. And I am completely blown away by the quality of these color sticks! "10 Femme Fatale" is a bright crimson like color that makes a gorgeous red lip for the day time. While "08 Red Blush" is a more deep red suitable for a perfect night time pout. I will definitely be purchasing more of these little gems, because at R15 a pop?
