It absorbs almost instantly and no trace is left of it on the skin except for the lovely scent. We are allowed to use other moisturisers over this and I do as I find I have too in order to apply foundation. I use this product over the Absolue Oleo Regenerating Serum, after researching on the net where it would fit in to my beauty routine. It is instantly absorbed and definitely improves the look of the skin after application. The skin looks radiant and glowing, with just a slight pinky tinge. I am not brave enough to wear it on its own, so moisturiser and foundation do follow most days. As for dark marks, I have a lot of freckles and one dark mark from my last pregnancy and all DO seem to be fading after four weeks of use, they say up to 66%, but I am not sure we are there yet. It is definitely a promising start though, and the best results I have achieved ever with any product promising to improve skin tone, so I will definitely continue to use it until its finished! I received this product from Beauty Bulletin and I was very excited to try it. My skin was in need of some moisture and I had just run out of my regular moisturizer. Upon using it for the first 3 days, I loved it. It smelled like citrus and it was light on my skin. It gave my skin a glow without making it look oily. On the fourth day, I went for laser hair removal on my face. They told me it was safe to use my moisturizer and any other face products that I usually use. I applied the moisturizer and I immediately ran to the bathroom to wash my face with cold water. My skin burned when I applied it. I am not saying that it will not work for you but my skin is now too sensitive for this moisturizer. Another point to note is the thou should clean the nozzle of the moisturizer often. The nozzle is hygienic and perfect for dispensing just the right amount of cream. After application one feels a slight cooling effect on the skin. Initially I was rather concerned about allergic reactions as I have extremely sensitive skin but my fears were soon allayed as I started to notice a wonderful change in the overall appearance and texture of my skin. My skin started to look smoother with refined pores, and the added bonus was a reduction in the appearance of the fine lines around my lips and eyes. My dark marks were slightly lighter after about a week with a youthful glow overall. My skin looked moisturized and my friends and customers started to comment on the appearance of my skin. By the beginning of week 3 I was still happy with my skin although my darks marks were not as light as I would have liked but I was satisfied with the general look of my skin expecially when my beauty therapist commented on my "very good skin"! My husband was extremely impressed when he applied the cream to a pimple. After a day or two you could not see where this pimple was. So, it has been 1 month of diligently using the Garnier Dark Spot Corrector Daily Illuminating Moisturizer, every day and night and I must say I am very impressed with my results so far. I was determined to stick to my regime and not be lazy this time round as I wanted to obtain the awesome results I heard other people raving about. I know you can only get success with hard work and determination, but it certainly paid off. I mentioned a number of these things already in my 2 week diary of progress in my blog, but here they are again. This moisturizer comes in a metal tube with screw top lid and a fine nozzle tip. It makes controlling the product very easy and avoids wastage as you could quite literally get every last drop out. Since the size of the tube is 50ml, it is very generous for the price. I haven't even used a third of it yet. It is very light textured, smoothes on easily and is rapidly absorbed. A citrusy fragrance lingers around for a while after use. You are left with skin that has refined pores and glows with radiance and health. Be sure to use a high sun protection factor during the day as this certainly leaves skin more sensitive than usual, due to the highly potent vitamin C. I discovered this the hard way, not through any fault of Garnier. The package is very detailed in its instructions and ingredients. This shows it is a well researched product. Many of my dark spots have faded and my skin is looking a lot more luminous and even toned. I cannot really say that this totally eliminated my problems but it certainly reduced the visibility of them by softening my complexion when used. Will continue with this until the tube is finished in another 2 months or so as Garnier promises you will see real results then or your money back! The cream absorbs quickly and does not leave my skin sticky, which is great as a lot of serums do this. I already noticed a difference in my skin on day 2 of use. My skin looked brighter and almost illuminated. That gave me so much hope. I used the cream for about a week in total – applying morning and evening. The problem is that I tried this product at the wrong time of the year! We go straight from summer to winter in Cape Town and this always makes my skin very unhappy. My skin goes from glowing and smooth, to dull, dry and flaky in a matter of days.
