The packaging and pumping feature made it very easy to use without exposing it to outside bacteria and gremlins. First thing I have to point out is the scent, this product (well really all of the products from this line) will leave you feeling like Drake was singing about you in "Come Closer". In the sense that it leaves your hair smelling like the tropics plus other yummy things. Another thing I must point out is the consistency of the product. Being a 4c natural with low porosity hair, I require a product that is not thin as it will not penetrate my shaft but also a product that is not too heavy that will weigh my hair down too much (making styling not so easy). I found that this product was just right in terms of the consistency. The combination of the ingredients is so right that I did a twist out with just this leave-in and it came out so defined, and this was not even the purpose of the product. My hair feels so moisturized in the sense that it is soft and manageable but still feels strong. Breakage is no longer and issue for me since I started using this in November 2016. The only thing that might make a student reconsider it is the price, I would like to point out however that if you have enough to purchase it, you should, as the price is worth the product. It does what it says it will, smells heavenly (and the smell lasts) plus a little goes a long way with this product so it will last you a long time. I have naturally dark hair and decided after giving birth to my daughter that I was going to keep lightening my hair till I get to a point where I am happy to go blonde or make it grey. So I have been bleaching my hair at the Salon every 4 weeks for months now. I was worried at 1st that I was going to damage my hair and then my hair stylist suggested using this product and it literally saved my hair!!! After every session, my hair feels smooth and healthy because she loads it with argan oils etc...but after a few days it gets grassy and starts feeling dry. Once you get a wet after that, it feels just horrible. So with every few washes after my bleach, I would use this a conditioer and leave it in for 10 minutes or so, rinse it out and my hair feels like I have never bleached my hair ever! Sometimes when I feel my hair needs something extra, I apply this to my dry hair and I leave it in for a day or 2. I put my hair up in a bun and no one can tell I have got the product in there and I leave it to do its magic. I then wash my hair and condition with the Hask Charcoal conditioner and my hair feels fantastic. This little miracle of a product is under hyped for sure. If you have oily hair steer clear...this is the richest hair product that I have ever used before. it is perfect for bleached and very dry or damaged hair but for normal hair this will be way too oily and will mess up your scalp. My hair just drinks up the treatment and the results are satisfying. The scent is nothing special. It just smells like a hair product. It’s not overwhelming not is it sweet or anything like that. And I mean instantly, after I shampooed and conditioned my hair (with a different brand) I applied the treatment to my hair avoiding my roots (as instructed) and kept it in for 3 minutes (as instructed). Let me just say that I have coily curly hair (I discovered this after using this product by the way) so we usually don't keep treatments in for this short amount of time but trust when I say that it got the job done. My hair was soft, curls were popping, curls did that snap back when you pulled on it, and the best part... no more shedding. Like instantly poof, when I detangled my hair nothing is left behind in the comb, on the floor and my shirt. Nada! Hair fall solution! The product it self has a nice thick creamy consistency (helped with the nerves), smell was not so bad. The last applications I kept it in a bit longer, with a plastic cap over my head (even better). It lasted me about a month and a half. I actually got sad when I started seeing the bottom on the carton, so sad that I even considered shipping wash day (the product is that good). My hair was quite damaged and breaking because I had dyed it about a year ago. So, this protective relaxer seemed like a good idea.
