I have to give it to Colgate the Advertisement is tempting, the packaging is even better and the red shiny look almost immediately have you thinking about the shiny white pearls you will carry around after a week or so.
With the first brush you can feel as the tiny annuals glides across your teeth and the super fresh minty taste just confirms that this product must be everything it claims to be. Just to find that a week, 2, 3 or 4 later your teeth looks just about the same and you have to be a super optimist to see the difference. Sad ;-(
I have used a lot of different teeth whitening products and they all fall flat except one which I recently used and actually gotten a compliment on my teeth looking white (was a first for me ever). I've also used dentist product which REALLY works, so on a whitening scale from Dentist to Toothpaste, this is a great toothpaste.

I have always jumped between different toothpaste brands to see what I find the most effective or suitable. The Optic White range really is a great product from Colgate and does whiten teeth. Have used it a couple of times now and did notice a difference. The minty taste is not too overpowering and freshens your mouth completely. The tube is also great for hygiene purposes and you can just flip the cap back on.

Every time I saw this toothpaste in the store , i always thought it was just another money making product , because lets face it if you want white teeth you have to go for regular dentist visits...something I am not really keen on lol.
Anyways , late last year I decided to give it a shot , I mean surely at R20.00 a tube it must do something amazing ....and amazing it was :) .It is now January and I am very happy with the results . My teeth are definitely whiter and brighter . The toothpaste itself has light granules and a nice minty taste that is not too strong for the mouth and leaves your mouth minty fresh .
Love this product definitely worth the price . Another great thing about it is that the packaging is a beautiful red color and my number one favorite is that is has the clip type cap instead of the screw on lids . Now i prefer this style because at home nobody ever screws the lid back on because they are just too lazy lol so I love the fact that this cap just snaps right back on so it prevents any germs or bacteria from getting in .

I believe I am old fashioned and I think I told myself the crazy story that Colgate was probably the very first toothpaste ever made and I've just trusted their products since. I've tried other tooth pastes in general and i still find myself coming back to Colgate.
I tried out the optic white range recently and I would have to say it was descent. I believe the tooth paste works as promised, you'll have whiter teeth in 14days. What I did dislike however was the fact that the tooth paste itself isn't as refreshing as all the other Colgate toothpastes. I would always have to re-brush my teeth with the original Colgate for me to feel like my breath is fresher.
I'm a bit pedantic like that so don't worry too much. Its the perfect product for a Colgate smile.

This is so much more than just a toothpaste. After using this for a week iv noticed that my teeth are whiter and I have less of a plaque buildup than with other toothpastes. It comes in a beautiful red package and is easy to get all the toothpaste out without needing to cut the tube. The toothpaste itself is grainy and the micro granules polish your teeth to perfection. Best results are when you use day and night with mouthwash and flossing regularly. The minty taste s not overpowering but just perfect enough for your amazing smile !!!

Consistancy/Smell: Thick white consistancy with blue microbeads inside, minty smell

I love this toothpaste, It has a great minty smell. When you brush you can feel the little microbeads in your mouth. It makes a good amount of foaming within your mouth when brushing your teeth, it also has a slight burning sensation, which I like. It leaves my teeth feeling very clean, fresh and minty. Even my 6 year old likes this toothpaste. I've only been using it for a week now, and I can definatley tell that there is a slight difference in the whiteness of my teeth. It also doesn't have that unpleasant aftertaste that some of the other teeth whitening toothpaste's have.
would I buy it again: yes, this is a great toothpaste and I'm only going to be using it from now onwards.

Well i used this and all the extras along with it - tooth brush, mouth wash etc.
i used it for over 2 months - NOTHING! Nothing at all!
its not like i purchased this because it was cheaper than any other products, because it was probably double the price.
The one thing i have found that works:
1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp water, pinch of toothpaste (for flavor). Use 3 times a week for a month and then when needed

This toothpaste most definitely makes a difference and whitens your teeth. It is fantastic, especially considering it's price! It works even better if you use it in conjunction with the Optic White mouth wash.

I've found nothing works that you can buy over the counter to make your teeth white.
After seeing Colgate Optic WHITE on a special offer, just R11.99, I bought a tube and used it for a few days not expecting any drastic results as I have tried many teeth whiteners in the past.

I bought the Colgate Optic White Kit (Mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush). It promised one shade whiter in one week. Sadly, I got the last squeeze of the tooth paste and the bottom of the mouthwash bottle, and my teeth were exactly the same. The only thing left standing out of the kit was the toothbrush. I was really disappointed as the TV advert had built up such an expectation. I will not be purchasing this product as I personal feel it falls into the category of products not worth the hype. This product might have worked for other people, it certainly did not work for me.

this really works to whiten your teeth

The ads for this product looked awesome and made me really want to see what all the fuss is about. The taste of the toothpaste was fine and the price is reasonable for a Whitening Toothpaste. Unfortunately, I used it for three weeks without seeing much if any of a difference. I have stopped using it and are now testing other brands. I have sensitive teeth and is currently getting more results with Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Whitening.

I was very eager to try out this product when it was launched, however I'm a tad disappointed. It does foam really well which I liked and left my teeth feeling clean. I'm not too sure about it leaving my teeth whiter but after a few days my tongue was burning constanly and my lips were left feeling sensitive and irritated. I'm not using this again.

I did not find this product satisfying at all. I used it for the 1 week to see results but very minimal change was noted. As I have the tooth paste I am still using it until it finishes. Up until now I still havent noted much change, noth even the 1shade lighter promise. It doesnt foam up which took some getting used to at first and I find that my teeth have become very sensitised since using this product.
I see that so many here have had positive responses to this product so I assume the saying "to each their own" applies. But this will be one product I will not be purchasing again.

I love this toothpaste i could see better results in just 3 day it all that i use now in my house hold and always have 1 packed in just incase it need lol it cleans brightens and whitens

I just started using the Colgate Optical White about 2 weeks ago. It really really works! Im a smoker so my teeth are always a dull yellow color and after 2 weeks there is really a difference! Love this toothpaste!
