The color range is to die for..from nudes to brights.I always see myself picking at least one essence nail polish every other week. They are just so affordable. The stay put for almost 4 days which I don't mind as I tend to change my nail color every week. I found that this colour was awesome in the sense that it was bright, perfect for winter, eye catching and quick to apply. After applying my base coat, I chose to apply two coats of the colour, followed by a top coat. The brush applicator is really great as it is not too thin and is thick enough to use the 3 swipe technique. The new and improved formula could use a little more improving- but is a huge step in the right direction for Essence. I found that the nail polish chipped, but if you are only wearing it for a night out, or for a interview- it is great. In other words, it is not long lasting- but expected for the price you pay. In all, I find this and most of Essence products to be great! The bottles are cute and small enough to keep with you for touch-ups. The thinner formula means that this polish dries super quickly BUT it does not mean that the product is streaky. Each coat is even and looks perfect thanks to the rounded brushes that make application so, so easy. Two coats is more than enough and I've even gone with only one coat without a problem. The nail polish lasts for about a week, depending on what you're doing and how well you look after your manicure. With regards to pricing, it is the best value for money you will ever find. Also, their wide range of colours make it impossible to want to buy anything else ever again. It's cheap, it's got a wide range of beautiful colours and it's in a very pretty and nice-to-hold bottle. The new brush is just wonderful. It's wider which makes for quicker and easier application and, as promised, it does dry quickly. I also feel that it lasts a little longer than the previous formula, but maybe that's just me. My sister already bought 3 colours. I have a few I want too; just waiting for stock. I found that the new brush, with the rounded edge, made it easier to apply a neater manicure especially around my cuticle area. The formula is thinner than the previous formula (I found the old formula was too thick to work with) and because of that, the layers dried much faster. As for the "Gel finish", I didn't really notice any difference in the overall shine. I really love the look and feel of the bottles. They are curvy and easy to handle when applying it to your nail. I am also really excited to share that the new bottles are 8ml where as the old bottles only contained 5ml of polish so you get more polish for the same price (R19.99 per bottle) I am really excited to buy more polishes with the new formula and bottles. I have tried other glitter nail varnishes, and the glitters are so scarce that I only end up with a few here and there. This Essence one is really great because just one coat will glitter up any nail colour, which is great since the holiday season is coming up soon. This nail varnish is also made with a quick dry formula and with a flat brush for a smooth and easy application.
