It's very gentle on your skin and almost doesn't feel like a scrub at all. It has quite a powerful scent that smells a bit masculine to me. The scent might be a bit much for some people. This isn't harsh at all and the first time I used it I was convinced it wouldn't work and that I would have to return it. But I was shocked at how soft my skin was. It felt like silk.
