I am quite happy with the result. With the shampoo, I don't have to use too much, just a small squeezed on your hand, and wash hair, it creates quite a bit of foam. If hair gets really oily and dirty, need to wash hair twice. I have no problem with the shampoo. It doesn't make my hair itchy, and it doesn't dry my skull. With the conditioner, at first, i didn't know why there were two different colours when I squeezed a R5 coin amount onto my hand. I do have very long hair, so I do need a certain amount to cover it. But once I saw the bottle's writing, then I understood. My hair used to have lots of knots, and I always need to use a lot of conditioner to smooth it out, but with Dove, I only need about a R5 coin size on my palm, and massage my head with it, and comb it out. My hair didn't feel greasy, it felt very nourished and coated with Dove conditioner, and it moisturised my hair from root to tip. Even when it is dried by a hair dryer, I don't see any dryness in my hair, and it feels very healthy and looks shiny and healthy. It also gives a little bit of volume too. Overall, I think it is a good product, and is affordable, and can last a good 1-2 months for a small 250ml bottle set. I have used few Dove hair care products and love their hair masks. This range hasn'let me down. The shampoo smells pleasant and cleans the hair thoroughly and didn't have to use too much of the product. But i guess the star is conditioner. It looks so lovely and luxurios with the gold line and makes you feel great even before application. My hair felt very managable and soft after washing it off. I styled my hair in the usual manner and it was quite easy to do. I usually apply olive or some hair oil before i wash and condition my hair. so , to test its effectiveness and it being an oil infused range , next time i skipped the oiling and straight went to wash and condition. I loved the look and feel of my hair and didn't miss the no oil routine. I like the product a lot and might just go and buy the serum to see how everything fits togetherr. If you looking for a decently priced , great hair care products i think you cant go wrong with Dove Nutri oil range. I have a very busy lifestyle, so I very rarely have time to apply Hair Masks / Treatments & sit with it on for 5-10 min while it does its thing, before rinsing it out again. The gold print looks good, but the word “shampoo” is a bit on the small side, which could be problematic for people who wear spectacles. I guess you could "teach yourself to remember” that the upright bottle is the Shampoo, but I’d prefer if the font was larger/bolder for ease of use. Nice sturdy bottle with a wide base (no toppling). I like the cap with the prominent lip for ease of opening. The previous Dove product did not have a very prominent lip and my fingers used to slip when trying to open it with wet hands. INSIDE: The fragrance is amazing! It’s a clean, invigorating smell of coconut and almond oils. Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo, with it's companion complement, the Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner. What a beautifully 'yummy' fragrance! My unexciting day became a little more intruiging, and I found myself heading for home and desperately wanting to wash my hair! I have finely textured hair, but quite a lot of it (fortunately). Although admittedly a little apprehensive about using a product that boasted 'oil care', (as I tend to have an oily scalp, and dry ends) I set out to test the products. On first impression, the product texture is 'luxe', and rich and thick in texture - and I honestly felt as tho I was embarking on a decadent pampering session... ahhhh, that fragrance!!!! Firstly, my fears about the 'oil care' shampoo making my hair limp or 'heavy' certainly did not hold up. In fact, after lathering the shampoo into my hair, it felt clean, not stripped of natural oils and easy to rake my fingers through... (which, in my own personal experience)h is often not easy with highlighted or colour treated hair!). Ok, so, Shampoo = successful - tick! Now on to the Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner.... I applied the conditioner to my mid-length and ends, leaving for a minute or so to penetrate. Once again, the texture, the colour and the fragrance of the conditioner is temptingly edible... its like lathering your head in caramel. Safe to say, I didn't venture a taste... that would have been a bit weird - no?! *;-) The result of my Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo and Conditioner trial is that : (1) my trademark fly-away, dry ends now look healthier, my hair certainly enjoys more body, and frizziness seems to be a thing of the past. I'm extremely excited about these new Dove products. It got me to thinking about what women really want when it comes to beauty and grooming... On the top of my list are, good, clear skin, a body weight that I'm happy with, and of course, the accessory of all accessories, good hair!!!! I'm pleased to say that since I've used these two products under review, I've experienced several GOOD HAIR DAYS!!!! ... & girls, when you have a 'good hair day' everything else seems to fade into insignificance and the confidence levels are definitely boosted! Dont tell me that you dont swagger or walk differently when you know your locks are luminous and healthy! I admit to being ignorant as to the retail cost of these products, but knowing the Dove brand, they will be quality and affordable -and even if they did tip the top of the prices scales, I'd unhesitatingly recommend them to all and sundry. You're looking at a great quality product, offering the promised results.... & we're talking about your most prized, effective accessory, your 'crowning glory' here! Go for it. You wont be sorry. I use professional hair products from salons and would have never otherwise tried Dove. I must say i am so impressed with the product i would think twice about changing over to Dove hair products. The first thing that got me was the absolute amazing fragrance-it really is something amazing, a mixture between Pantene, Loreal and all things gorgeous lol. The products left my hair with an amazing shine, did not weigh my hair down and although it has nourishing oils my hair was not extra oily. It has a lovely scent and pretty champagne colour. You don't need all that much to create a nice foamy lather. My hair feels very clean and silky after using this. It works nicely in conjunction with the treatment conditioner. My hair, which is naturally curly and sometimes a bit frizzy looks smoother and the curls are softer after using this range of products. This isn't harsh on your hair and it doesn't weigh down my super fine hair. This doesn't strip your hair of moisture but rather leaves your hair feeling more moisturised and nourished. Also feels lighter. I like that it really foams up well and that it's not at all harsh on my hair. A lot of the time shampoos tend to strip my hair of all it's natural moisture and protective oils that they are unpleasant to use. This shampoo is gentle while giving you a good cleansing. Used together with the Treatment conditioner this range is truly remarkable. For a supermarket brand I am seriously impressed with the quality and results! This shampoo is truly magic in a bottle and the results have truly been amazing. I love the fragrance and texture of the shampoo as to me, it seems more dense than the average shampoo. It soaps up really well, and when rinsing, my hair felt soft and nourished, yet clean (as in no build up). It is extremely gentle on the hair and that is sonething i look for when purchasing a shampoo. The packaging is attractive and the gold and white colouring alludes to a luxury product. It’s also an indication as to the glorious oils within. The packaging is also very smooth to the touch (just like my hair!) and has a comfortable fit in the hands. It has a gorgeous smell, lovely and light and the product itself is like molten gold. The packaging lid opens up easily enough and the product squeezes out easily as well. The shampoo is housed in a 200ml bottle and I found that it works really well with my hair type. I wouldn’t describe my hair as particularly dry right now, seeing that we’re moving closer to the warmer months but I know that in winter, this product is going to be my saving grace. The thing that made me happiest about the shampoo is that there was no “adjustment period” necessary. Usually when I try a new shampoo, it takes about 2 to 3 washes for my hair to feel normal but with this, it was instantaneous. Looking at the product, I’d say they were marketing this towards the 25-85 age groups! We know that Dove is all about natural beauty and even my grandmother was recommended to use Dove shampoo. My hair feels so soft and silky and even when I let it air dry, it looks amazing! Let’s take a look at the Oils infused within the shampoo and what they do for your hair: Coconut Oil: • Has a high moisture retaining capacity. • Anti dandruff properties. • Melts onto hair with heat and condenses on cooling which means it’s great for styling. • Good treatment for a dry scalp. The kind of treatment you would receive from a salon and that you would pay a substantial amount for. I really am speechless on how just after one wash my hair was so much more easy to manage and weightless. I love the golden creamy texture of it and it feels heavenly when lathering. My hair didnt feel parched and stringly when I rinsed this out which made me very happy. I didn’t like the fact that it gave my hair so much volume as my hair is fluffly on it’s on so I want something that would weigh down my hair. While I was extremely impressed with the conditioner, I wasnt as impressed with the shampoo. The shampoo formulation smells great and you only need a small amount to clean hair thoroughly, but I found when I used the shampoo in combo with the conditioner, my hair was left a bit fluffy and not as sleek and shiny as when I used my normal Morocconoil shampoo in combination with the Nourishing Oil daily care conditioner. I think this is just my hair-type and preference as I had a brazilian keratin treatment about five months ago and still dont need to straighten or style my hair much when using the Morocconoil shampoo and the Dove, but my hair didnt look sleek enough after using the Dove shampoo and conditioner and I was forced to go back to my GHD. I cannot begin to tell you how fantastic my hair feels for the 1st time in 2 years. The Shampoo made my hair feel so clean, the treatment Conditioner made my hair hard to style after using it. I like the packaging as I do not like to buy bottles too big, so this is good for the space in the shower. You really only need to use a very little amount as it is quite foamy. It’s got a lovely rich golden colour and smells nice too. My hair normally feels very tangled after shampooing, although I have short hair, but was surprised that it was not the case using the Dove shampoo. Will definitely use it !! Even whent to the shop today to check out the price.
