Best mascara ever!

I've been using Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Colour Lash-Enhancing Mascara for some time now - three weeks to be exact - and I am impressed.
I've purposefully held out on writing this review because, in all fairness, I thought, There must be something negative about this mascara. But, in all honesty, it's absolutely perfect!
I'll take you back to the day I received my package. I was thrilled to find the glossy, rectangular-shaped tube with the iconic Red Door logo - so glamorous and luxe, I knew I was in for a treat!
As I first applied the mascara, what struck me was the way it glided on smoothly and evenly, separating each of the lashes perfectly. I have naturally fine, sparse lashes but after application, the lashes appeared thicker and fuller. Even more impressive, there were no clumps to speak of!
I have been a life-long devotee of Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara but my only gripe about it was always the clumps. Not so with this product - I had individually defined, full lashes, even after three coats! But I think best of all, it didn't look as if I was wearing mascara - only big, open, bright eyes.
I also wear contact lenses so I would usually expect my lids to feel heavy by the end of the day after wearing mascara. But I can honestly say that this product felt weightless and natural. Another issue with contacts and mascara, is that the eyes become itchy after wearing it for some time. With this mascara though, there was no no irritation to speak of.
I often insert eye drops throughout the day to keep my eyes moist. And, although this product is not waterproof, I simply needed to wipe underneath my eye to get rid of moisture and my eyes looked great again. There were no tell-take black flakes surrounding the lash line at all.
This product has truly simplified my beauty routine. I've lightened up on my eye make-up because I really like the natural, bright-eyed effect I achieve with only a few coats of this mascara.
Elizabeth Arden have really outdone themselves with this product. And at R195 per tube, they have definitely found a repeat customer in me!
