I am rather partial to another brand and didn't think I would want to use a different one. When I opened the tube the colour looked really dark, too dark for me, but when I actually applied it, it blended perfectly into my natural skintone. This particular product is slightly drying for me and it doesn't apply as smoothly as the other brand I am used to so you really need to use a primer or makeup base, but it gives very good coverage without feeling cakey. It corrects dark spots and redness very well and is enough to give me a fresh look without applying concealer or foundation. I wear it to work daily and my makeup looks beautifully finished off but still very natural and barely there. It allows my freckles to peek through which I like, but that may not be everybodies cup of tea. The biggest thing for me with this is the price and that it goes a long way. Also of course the fact that it does what it says. It clears and correct uneveness on my skin but keeps it looking natural and smooth. I also really like the fact that it has an SPF of 30 so no need to add a sunscreen. Straight off the bat, it is an amazing product. The only negative thing I can say is that, if you so not use a primer, it will probably crease into any fine lines you may have on your face. However, if you use a primer you are good to go. The formula is so so super lightweight and blendable. It is not very buildable but that is to be expected as it is a CC Cream and NOT a foundation. It is definitely perfect for a day when you don't need to cover up a lot of spots or when you aren't wearing such a heavy face - maybe a beach day seeing as Summer is fast approaching! All in all this is my favourite Essence product out of their entire range, I adore it and I was so pleased when Beauty Bulletin sent me one as I already purchased one of my own and it was almost finished ;) If you are wanting to use it as a foundation you can apply more product that usual and then add some concealer and powder on top - you will still be able to achieve a similar "foundation" effect even though it is a CC cream. Smells a little funny/ plasticky, but it blends in very well on my skin. You still need concealer to cover up the odd spots, but it really does help even out blemishes. Plus, it feels very light on the skin and it looks so matte! Love this! Luckily it blended so well that it didn't look bad on my face at all! The coverage is not as full as I would have liked, and I did still have some redness showing up underneath it. The SPF 30 is awesome though, so I wear the CC cream under my normal foundation and that gives better coverage. This CC cream works wonders and hides those spots and imperfections we do not want the world to see. I found this CC cream provided adequate coverage but one can apply your regular foundation over it for added coverage. The liquid is absolutely light weight and blends in easily to the skin and I was very impressed as I watched the redness on my skin vanish before my eyes. I used this CC cream in the shade natural and it was the ideal shade for my olive skin. The SPF 30 is great too, skin protection is a must!
