It's perfect for my skin tone which is great as most concealers (from other brands) cater for lighter skin tones. It has a smooth application and is highly pigmented. It lasts long (the entire day) but may require a touch up in warmer temperatures. It works best when used after a pore-refining primer and colour correctors. It blends really well (with your fingers, a brush or a sponge). It is also the the most effective product I have used to cover up blemishes, spots and dark circles. I usually apply it before my foundation so I use much less foundation. The cover stick is a wind-up so it lasts really long (more than two months with daily use). It can also be used for contouring on lighter skin tones. Okay so I used this on the shadows I developed under my eyes due to long nights infront of the computer ,and over that I applied foundation and amazingly the dark shadows were barely visible. I love that it smoothes on quite nicely and has a natural look to it. I use Revlon Photo Ready foundation and i have the concealer as well and it really doesnt cover as good as this Essence one. It blends very well and doesnt look cakey, but has a matte finish so your imperfections arent as obvious.
