I love love love these little pans of magic. They pigmented, they soft and creamy and there is almost no fall out. In general I think the lighter shades are better and pigmented more than the darker one's.
And with the light pink or pearly once you can also use them as highlighters since they give a suttle and soft sheen that makes for a great highlighter.

Obsessing Over Essence- Single Eyeshadows

Obsessing over Essence | Beauty
It's no hidden fact that I'm a huge fan of Essence beauty products. Not only are they super affordable, the quality is insane. I previously did a post on my favourite Essence beauty products (I'll link it down below), but I've purchased some new single eyeshadows to add to the list.
Purchase:
I purchased the Essence single eyeshadows from Clicks. They are available at multiple other stores in South Africa. Costing just R37 per eyeshadow, these are insanely affordable (not to mention, the pan size is huge!)
Selection:
I personally am a huge fan of neutral shades, and most of the shadows I've purchased show just that. The range does, however, come in a huge variety of shades to choose from. The eyeshadows also come in a variety of finishes- from matte to shimmer, Essence has it all!
Application:
The Essence single shadows can be used to create just about any look. Since there are multiple colours and finishes, application is easy. For the crease, I apply the shadows with a blending brush. For the lid, a flat eyeshadow brush works best.
Overall thoughts:
For the price, these eyeshadows are extremely worth it. Not to mention, great pigmentation and incredible quality. Being able to choose the shades you want saves money (you don't have to buy whole palettes). I definitely recommend adding these to your collection if you're an eyeshadow lover!

To say that I am fan of these essence single shadows would be an understatement. The quality is great for the price you pay. This new shade that I picked up is a stunning pearly pink. The pink is so subtle but you can definitely see it. The shadow is shimmery and the shade does wonders to brighten up my entire look. It stays put and doesn't crease at all. Great to carry around in the handbag.

I saw this shade called '" coffee to glow "...i had to have it because it's such a gorgeous metallic brown. It's highly pigmented and gives me such a sexy smokey eye look. It's really shimmery and long-lasting, doesn't come off unless I remove it. It's a great quality shadow for a fraction of the price you would pay for a high end one.

These mono shades from Essence are of such good quality that I find myself using them almost every single day letting my other eyeshadows take a back seat. The shade I like the most is a metallic silver. Its richly pigmented and the shimmer is gorgeous. It really brings my eyes to life. There's no fallout when applying these shadows and the smooth silky texture makes it very blendable, I use my fingers. I love that they are single shades so I can carry them around in my handbag and I do, everywhere I go!

For the price, these eyeshadows are phenomenal. Quality is everything to me, and the fact that these are great quality eyeshadows at a remarkable price, is something quite phenomenal. I wish they had more shades though!

This is an interesting shade, with a metallic effect its green with bronze. Its quite dark but interesting to play around with. Easy to apply and fun to experiment.

This is a great highlight shade to complete your eye look, it is shimmery but I still use it everyday underneath my brow bone and tear duct area. For the price, these eyeshadows are definitely worth your money!

this is quite an interesting colour for eyes but it is quite sheer so its not too bright for everyday. Something new to play with, I found it in a sale bin at Clicks so I think it might be discontinued but if you do find it, give it a try.

I love this eyeshadow, for the price it is an amazing eyeshadow. It's a perfect highlighter for eyes and cheeks. The colour is long lasting and doesn't budge at all, it also has a beautiful shimmering colour which I love, how can you not love a beautiful sparkle? This product is perfect to complete any party look, I would admit though, it's a bit too sparkly for a day time look.

I saw this product as i browsing and i have to admit for price i was very sceptical but was pleasantly surprised. The colours are rich and apply well, feel amazing on and there is very little fall out during application. The colour selection is a bit limited but you can find the basic daily colours that every girl needs in her makeup collection.

this eyeshadow is great quality and has a fantastic colour playoff on the eyelids. I wanted something to use as a highlighter for my brow bones and corner of my eyes and this shadow works perfectly because it is subtle but at the same time it can be built up easily to achieve the desired colour. What is also great is that the shimmer is not overly glittery which gives a more natural glow. You can expect this eyeshadow to last well on your lids throughout the day, if you don't touch and rub your eyes. The shadow can be easily removed with makeup remover or with your daily cleanser.

Love these shadows! I really wanted to find a creamy shimmer shadow as I often use a light shadow as a base - this one is not only affordable but exactly what I wanted and I have yet to run out :) Will always re-buy

A lovely glitter shadow ( I think it is the same one in the picture actually!) which is soft and easy to apply and gives a lovely sparkly effect. Not very long-lasting though - despite the promise on the package that it is!

I have this product in"09 Get Ready!" which is a shimmery taupey grey colour. I love this eyeshadow as an all over wash of colour on my lids when I'm too busy (or lazy) to do a full eye look. It gives me a defined eye that works with many different lipstick colours. It does have some fall out when applied but I always tap of the excess eyeshadow before applying and use a base (MAC Paint Pot) to hold the shadow on my lids. I like carrying this eyeshadow in my hand bag as it wouldn't be a big deal if it broke or got lost. Its great for amping up a day look for evening time with a little black eyeliner. I highly recommend this product.

I love this eyeshadow for its quality and the super affordable price. It costs R24.95, and it comes in so many colours. It’s perfect for those who would love to experiment with colourful eyeshadows that you normally wouldn’t be able to use every day. The one that I purchased is pigmented and has a slight bit of fall out (which is expected when you use any type of glittery eyeshadow). The eyeshadow is super silky and soft. I love applying this shadow on the inner corners of my eyes, or otherwise on the center of my eyelids for a pop of glitter.
On the packaging it says that it is long-lasting, but I think the particular colour I bought it in wasn’t as long-lasting as I hoped for. I would recommend using a primer and a base so the glitter has more to stick to.
