They pigmented, they soft and creamy and there is almost no fall out. In general I think the lighter shades are better and pigmented more than the darker one's. Not only are they super affordable, the quality is insane. I previously did a post on my favourite Essence beauty products (I'll link it down below), but I've purchased some new single eyeshadows to add to the list. Purchase: I purchased the Essence single eyeshadows from Clicks. They are available at multiple other stores in South Africa. Costing just R37 per eyeshadow, these are insanely affordable (not to mention, the pan size is huge!) Selection: I personally am a huge fan of neutral shades, and most of the shadows I've purchased show just that. The range does, however, come in a huge variety of shades to choose from. The eyeshadows also come in a variety of finishes- from matte to shimmer, Essence has it all! Application: The Essence single shadows can be used to create just about any look. Since there are multiple colours and finishes, application is easy. For the crease, I apply the shadows with a blending brush. For the lid, a flat eyeshadow brush works best. Overall thoughts: For the price, these eyeshadows are extremely worth it. Not to mention, great pigmentation and incredible quality. Being able to choose the shades you want saves money (you don't have to buy whole palettes). I definitely recommend adding these to your collection if you're an eyeshadow lover! The quality is great for the price you pay. This new shade that I picked up is a stunning pearly pink. The pink is so subtle but you can definitely see it. The shade I like the most is a metallic silver. Its richly pigmented and the shimmer is gorgeous. It really brings my eyes to life. There's no fallout when applying these shadows and the smooth silky texture makes it very blendable, I use my fingers. I wanted something to use as a highlighter for my brow bones and corner of my eyes and this shadow works perfectly because it is subtle but at the same time it can be built up easily to achieve the desired colour. What is also great is that the shimmer is not overly glittery which gives a more natural glow. You can expect this eyeshadow to last well on your lids throughout the day, if you don't touch and rub your eyes. I love this eyeshadow as an all over wash of colour on my lids when I'm too busy (or lazy) to do a full eye look. It gives me a defined eye that works with many different lipstick colours. It does have some fall out when applied but I always tap of the excess eyeshadow before applying and use a base (MAC Paint Pot) to hold the shadow on my lids. I like carrying this eyeshadow in my hand bag as it wouldn't be a big deal if it broke or got lost. Its great for amping up a day look for evening time with a little black eyeliner. It costs R24.95, and it comes in so many colours. It’s perfect for those who would love to experiment with colourful eyeshadows that you normally wouldn’t be able to use every day. The one that I purchased is pigmented and has a slight bit of fall out (which is expected when you use any type of glittery eyeshadow). The eyeshadow is super silky and soft. I love applying this shadow on the inner corners of my eyes, or otherwise on the center of my eyelids for a pop of glitter. On the packaging it says that it is long-lasting, but I think the particular colour I bought it in wasn’t as long-lasting as I hoped for.
