I bought the one for brunettes because, well, I am brunette. The compact comes in a plastic case with different coloured strips of shimmery powder. The colours range from a shimmery almost-white, to a deep bronze, with pinky shades in the middle (there are no mattes in this compact). I find that if I use a powder brush, it is easy to pick up a lot of product, and the colour payoff is great (I have used the more bronze side of the compact as my actual bronzer). By sweeping my brush along the middle of the palette, I get a unique pink-bronze, which is perfect for blush. I have also used an eyeshadow brush to use the strips as individual colours for my eyes, or the lightest shade as a highlighter. As I have been dabbling in bronzer more and more, I realized I prefer a matte bronzer and a slightly shimmery blush, so for me, this compact is reserved mostly for eyes and blush. I like that this product is multi-use, so it's great for travel. The powder blends well and goes on smoothly. It is a perfect all-in-one product that serves as a blush, bronzer AND highlighter. Each colour in this product can be used separately, or blended together to create one unique shade. I prefer to use them separately. I sometimes skip the blush and use this product alone, as it has a pink undertone that is just so pretty. I use the lighter shade to complete my look with a highlight. The formula of the powder is soft and creamy, and therefore extremely easy to blend. This product is slightly shimmery, and is perhaps suited only for the summer months. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful product and I really wish I hadn't caught on so late. But I was given this product to review and review it I shall! :) *singing* If you like Pina Coladas... ...because once you open this up you get a lovely co-co-nutty fragrance! Some of you might have tried the Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder which offered only a bronzer. This new Essence product boasts a bronzer AND highlighter. As seen in the picture (doesn't it look fun??), the bottom right corner has a darker brown and pink shade, the bronzer corner. The top top left corner consists of a light pink band and two cream bands, your highlighter corner. The middle is a pinkish brown shade. So you're getting a bronzer and a highlighter AND it can be used as an eye-shadow! The texture is so creamy and soft but be warned- there's a lot of shimmer. Its not overwhelming but it is quite noticeable. So go easy with the application, you wouldn't want to be the shimmery, glittery belle of the beach. Despite the product not meant for my skin tone, it still worked as an eye-shadow. I read a review done by a blogger named Carlinn and she used the highlighter as a blush and on her skin tone, the pink shimmer looked really lovely.
