It has barely any scent and does not irritate the eyes / leave a film. It removes all kinds of eye makeup effortlessly - except for pigments that stain (nothing on this earth can remove those stains). I used to love experimenting with makeup especially eye makeup it fascinated me the most so you can imagine all the products I’d play with. One time after having used kajal eyeliner I found it very hard to remover it and it left the area around my eyes looking black (and scary), my mom allowed me to use her Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover to help remove the kajal and wow I was INPRESSED - although it took some time to remove it completely ! I still use it to this day ! It’s very gentle and it doesn’t dehydrate my eye area. Has no scent and doesn't leave my eyes feeling irritated. It's very pricey and does nothing out of the ordinary for it's price. I don't think it's competing well with its peers, tbqh. I did find myself having to remove using more than once, and I am not a heavy eye makeup person so I found it to be an under-performer when it comes to waterproof mascaras. If you like the brand and don't mind dropping Rands on a mere eye makeup remover then go for it. If you're a penny saver, you've got other options, trust. Even when you’re removing products close to your lash line the product doesn’t burn your eyes and it is a very effective eye makeup remover for powdered eyeshadows. However, it doesn’t remove long lasting eye liners and waterproof/resistant mascaras well at all. Even with normal mascara, it takes me a while to get all of the mascara off with this product, which I don’t like especially when my lashes fall off. Because of these reasons, I prefer using this makeup remover to fix errors or smudges rather than using it as a daily eye makeup remover. It doesn’t leave an oily residue so you can easily reapply eye makeup immediately after using this product, which is great.
