It has a light slightly oily texture but is lighter than Vaseline. I found it very moisturizing without leaving a waxy layer on my lips like other lip balms. I also use it on my cuticles as it absorbs very well. This balm has a very strong rose/floral scent due to the essential oils and also tastes like flowers which is not exactly pleasant.
