So with all the hype of bb creams and now cc creams one is bound to join in eventually , I on the other hand do not own a bb cream and have only just lately acquired Avons Color Correcting Cream.I just couldn't fathom why I would need one if I have a good foundation and especially if one is almost 40 (like me ) felt to nervous to let go of my current makeup routine.I also wondered why bb creams and now cc creams so I did a little digging and found an explanatory picture to explain the difference between both .
I must admit I am a bit on the fence with this product.It comes out really fast from the tube which shows that it is a bit on the runny side .Now I suffer with pigmentation on my cheeks and it does look somewhat like freckles but if you look closely you can see the uneven tone as well (pigmentation you curse ! )This formula has a thin consistency that absorbs easily into skin and has a very natural, soft and slightly dewy finish , yes I had a dewy look to my cheeks but its not enough for me , I need more coverage without looking all plastery . I am looking for a product that is lighter in texture than regular foundation but will not only even out my tone but cover those pesky pigmentation spots and sadly even though I am a fan of Avon products this just didn't cover up the danger zones and I was not happy with the white pasty look it gave me , even though this color suits me I prefer the yellowy undertones .I do enjoy sheer coverage on good skin days but if you have a lot you want to conceal this won’t do the job.But just because it didn't suit me doesn't mean it wont look good on you((Im almost 40 remember) as everyone's skin is different.I'd say if you have oily skin this might work for you, but if you have dry skin I would go for something else as it does tend to create a cakey look between the lines .Alas it fades in about 3 hours time.This one disappointed me as its just a touch too sheer.

With beauty products I’ve always been a bit stuck in my ways. So when I heard about BB and CC creams, I was curious but a bit dubious.

As a self employed person, I have to choose what products to buy very carefully. And those beauty consultants in chain stores may want to spray all kinds of perfume on us, but ask for a test sample of a skin care product…

Last week though I was sent an Avon CC cream to test from Beauty Bulletin. I immediately noticed it had a SPF 50 rating which was great news for me as I spend a lot of time outdoors in summer.

It also has a nice fragrance and I liked how smoothly it went on my face.

I happen to have a very uneven tone so this product has it’s work cut out for it.
The only problem is that I chose a shade or two too light. So if I should buy it in future, I would look at a darker shade.

It has only been a week and a half, so I’m not sure how much change there has been to my skin tone. Some marks non my forehead seem to be less visible.

I would definitely look at using a CC cream instead of foundation, especially during the day.

After about 2 and a half weeks, I see definite lightening of dark marks on my face. And my face feels a lot smoother when applying the CC cream.

Excellent product! Used it this morning for the first time. My skin is really bad in tems of breakouts right now and this cream covers almost all of the flaws. With some lipstick, I looked 100% better. If the price in the accompanying booklet is correct, then I think it's a bit expensive, but will invest in this great cream.

I have been using the CC Cream for almost a week now and have noticed that my dark spots appear to have lightened dramatically. I have also noticed that my skin does not appear to be as oily during the day as it was previously and I get less breakouts. I do get a shine on my nose later in the day around lunch time but that is all, which I just use a pressed face powder for once as opposed to my normal everyday oily/shine face. I totally love this product and will be using this as part of my daily facial regime after moisturising. it is also affordable ranging from R85.00 which I think is quite a great price if you look at the benefits you get from this product. definitely five stars!!!!!

Let's start off by saying that I had never tried a CC (colour corrector) cream before, so I was intrigued to find out about the latest beauty buzz.

When researching what a CC cream does for one, the excitement struck as I would be reviewing a product which would help with uneven skin-tone, containing liquorice and vitamin C, and would protect my face from the harsh sun-rays as it contains 50 SPF. Great!

The lightweight formula, which contains correcting pigments, was easy to apply on my skin, It smelt like heaven! Fresh and not overbearing, and my skin felt smooth and fresh.

The Avon CC creams are for those with a warmer undertone, lucky me! It left my skin looking and feeling fresh with a matte finish. With an SPF of 50, I can now spend more time in the sun than indoors fretting about my skin!

Avon boasts that one will begin to see the appearance of dark marks starting to fade within two weeks...Well I have only used the product once, so I will have to continue with the product to see whether or not it delivers, but I'm sure it will!

A bit of a down side- Avon is usually reasonably priced, however I feel these CC creams are quite steep. The offer at the moment is R84.95, but regular price is R159.95. EISH!

All-in-all, Avon is a fantastic brand, and if you feel you need to revamp your makeup kit, I suggest you add the CC Cream for light coverage, because let's admit, NATURAL looking skin is MORE BEAUTIFUL!
