I've only ever found that the original Moroccan Oil actually managed to add shine to my hair without weighing it down. However, I am really enjoying this. To preface, I do have extremely dry hair so it desperately needs the moisture and may be soaking up the residue, but I haven't found that it leaves my hair oily. I also don't put it anywhere near my roots, I spray through the ends and I don't use a lot.
The scent is lovely, fresh and oceanic and I actually got a comment on the fact that my hair looked very shiny! Which is obviously the whole point. I would definitely repurchase this!
