While it is effective in mattifying, it did leave me looking slightly grey. This is probably due to the fact that most oil controlling lotions contain titanium dioxide (white pigment) and zinc oxide (white powder) and the Garnier Even and Matte Ideal Complexion Daily Cream for Normal to Dry Skin had quite a bit of it. I would have found this formulation better suited for the Garnier Even and Matte Ideal Complexion Daily Cream for Very Oily Skin.
