The varnish is a dark teal colour, which you cant really get from the photo as it tends to look darker on camera. It looks great with three coats, but streaky with only one or two coats. Once you have applied three coats it has great staying power... a whole week without a top coat! It looks glossy and I had a few compliments, despite it not really being a colour I would normally wear. I liked the brush, it was easy to use and the polish also is quite easy to remove, despite it being such a dark colour. I did use a base coat though to prevent staining.
