My main concerns with waterproof mascaras in general, and I have tried a few, is that they tend to be dry and often flake off. The L’Oreal Lash Architect was fantastic in this regard. The texture is nice and creamy like a non-waterproof one and no flakes in sight at the end of the day, so I can say that it has a good 8 hour wear. Thumbs up for the blacker than black effect, texture and long wear. Not a smudge in sight which is the whole point of waterproof. The only downsides to me would be that it doesn’t really lengthen or thicken dramatically as its names suggests and is quite an ordeal to remove! My normal facewash (Eucerin cleansing gel) which normally removes all my makeup seamlessly didn’t remove it and I had to buy an oil-based eye makeup remover to remove it the next day!! I would recommend it if you are not too concerned by instant gratification and rather want long wear and no flakes.
