It is not the typical dark brown but a propper medium brown copper shade. When you wear it, one would never confuse it with black. It is very shimmery and gorgeous - I am totally in love with it! It looks fantastic with any light brown eyeshadow for a sultry brony day look. This was my first MAC gel liner. Now I get the rave about MAC fluidlines! The quality is amazing. Very smooth and super pigmented, they glide on like a breeze. The staying power is also fantastic - it never smudges. It goes on well with a pointed liner brush or a slanted liner brush (I have one from Catrice which has both of these in one brush and it is cheap too) It is a great product - highly recommended! It is quite a bit more expensive but from what I gather it will really last a long time. I loved this one so much I went and got a limited addition plum one too!
