I was put off by it when I tried it at first because it was really dry but once you apply some lip balm or Macs prep and prime for lips, it glides on easily. This is a bright red lipstick and has a matte finish. I have not tried a lipstick that is more matte than this one. it has a sort of velvet texture on your lips and really lasts all day. I was a bit hesitant to buy this at first because people said it felt dry on their lips and was a bit hard to apply but I haven't had that problem at all. I just put a thin cover of Labelo on my lips and then blot them with a tissue and the application goes smoothly with a WONDERFUL matte effect. Yes, I'm a sucker for matte lipsticks and this lipstick is about as matte as it gets. But the real wonder of this lipstick is how well it wears. I was actually shocked when I grabbed a glass of water and there was no - I repeat NO lipstick mark on the glass after I'd taken a zip! It has the perfect red color and matte texture. It is extremely universal so don't worry about being to fair or dark to wear this lipstick. It's honestly perfect for all shades!
