I massaged it into my scars daily and after just 18 months, they are barely visible! Now I use Bio Oil all over my body. In Summer it's always in my bag as a way to add a little extra glow to sun-kissed skin and in winter it's the best solution for dry skin - especially spots like knees, ankles and elbows. It doesn't leave you feeling sticky and the scent is so subtle that it doesn't clash with your perfume! I don't use any other moisturisers anymore. Although it is one of the more expensive tissue oils available, I'm always willing to pay a bit more for Bio-Oil! I've tried a number of other brands but none smell as good or get absorbed as quickly. My skin is smoother and softer but the scars haven't faded that much - but then again you need to use it for awhile to really achieve proper results from the scars. I picked up a bio-oil leaflet at the hospital last week ( dropped off a neighbour who needed her appendix taken out -long story, such a sweet girl ) and read through all 18 pages with info. There is alot more to the product than most people realise. The new formula still has the nice smell the old one had, the difference is that the new formula really gets absorbed even faster than the old one. After you apply it on your skin, it gets absorbed immediately and not greasy at all. I love the fact that you can use this on your face and body. I’ve used this on my face last winter when my skin was dehydrated, and my skin felt and appeared a lot more moisturised with any greasiness at all. It’s a great skin treatment to do before bed if you are experiencing dry skin and it also evens out your skin tone with consistent use. I use this product on my stretch marks as well. I have noticed a small difference but that’s because I haven’t been using it as consistently as I should. I know when I did use it every day for a long period of time, the marks were a lot less evident.
