Am a make-up novice and this is very easy to use. I have very fine and blonde eyebrows so need to put on eyebrow pencil everyday. I got the pencil in the shade 'taupe' (kind of a dark blonde colour) even though I have brown hair, because I was worried that a darker colour might be too hectic (going from looking like you have no eyebrows to dark brows can be a bit jolting). It's a very thin pencil on one end and a spooly brush on the other. The fact that the pencil is so thin means you can do lots of tiny little strokes to mimic actual eyebrow hairs and follow the direction of your natural hairs to make the overall finish look more natural. I have used the Stila version and the Soap & Glory one from the UK, both of which are fabulous. With one of these being double the price, and the other only being available overseas, this one wins by far, as it's not only affordable and easy to get, it's better than both! With a spooly brush on one end, and a super fine tipped pencil on the other, it can be use to line and fill brows as well as mimic hairs, and you can brush the product through when you're done too. I have always stuggled with getting my eyebrows perfect. I either look like a drag queen or the colour is off. I don't use enough or I apply too much. I have dark hair but they are sparce so it can get tricky. I decided to try the Taupe colour as I wanted a cool toned brown just to fill in the gaps and I willnever use another brow pencil ever again!!! The pencil is so fine and thin that you can litterally draw in individual brow hairs!! The spoolie at the end is perfect for shaping as I don't like the new brushes that most brands are releasing. The colour is perfect for me. I am medium skin toned with dark brunette hair so it fills the gaps without overpowering my entire look. I am keen to try more shades as I am very curious but I have found a winner for sure. I do wish the price was a tad lower as I go through one of these pencils pretty quickly. I'm one of those people who can't leave the house without my brows looking 100% - and this pencil makes it really easy! It is affordable, at only R149,99, and has a wide shade range. The pencil has a really fine tip, which allows you to make hair like strokes, and a spooly brush on one end - so I can make my sparse brows look full, without it looking drawn on. I would say this product is a good dupe for the Benefit Precisely my Brow pencil - the tip is just as fine, and the pigment is just as good. All without the hefty price tag.
