The liquid within was thick but runny, offering my lashes a dramatic coating after a few swipes of the slim wand. The liquid does dry and crack when exposed to the elements and my lashes are nourished and protected rather than affected by my continuous application. Whilst the mascara is definitely sweat resistant and rain resistant, it easily is removed in the shower with a little cleanser- so I wouldn't recommend it for a day at the beach!
