Years of using a straightening iron on my already straight but sometimes frizzy hair, made my hair thin and limp. After buying a good shampoo regimen my hair is now in a good condition. Came across The Body Shop hair butter by chance since I don't usually buy their hair products, I was more taken by the word butter in it. It's basically like an in shower treatment which you leave in damp hair for at least 5 mins, and you massage it into your hair while rinsing it out. It lived up to its nourishing promises for me. And a big plus sign is that my hair didn't feel heavy or oily after. I love the fresh scent on my hair after I use it. And when I dried my hair there was less frizz than usual. The price at R95 isn't bad, I think as salon treatments are way more and this product has the similar properties to those products. The only thing is that they say use to hazelnut size pieces on your hair I tend to use more. But I use it as a weekly treatment so it's lasted me. I've used it twice and both times I had fabulous results. It makes my hair feel extremely soft and smooth and it's incredibly manageable. I use this as a hair mask and comb it through. I then put on a shower cap and leave it for 5 minutes before rinsing out. I love the results and I couldn't actually believe how nice my curls looked when I dried my hair naturally. This butter has a nice enough scent, but something in it reminds me of the hemp products from TBS. This butter contains amazing ingredients like pracaxi oil, manketti nut oil and community trade honey and olive oil. It also contains no silicones, parabens or colourants. However, I do find this product to be a bit expensive for the amount you actually get. The tub contains 50ml and I feel like you need to use quite a lot on each application as the butter is quite thick and doesn't spread easily through your hair.
