Not only is it a retractable twist-up, but it has a nice pointy top for easy application. The sweet refreshing peppermint smell is oh so yummy, it applies well , has a nice sheen and does not bleed. I was most impressed by the staying power of this lip balm, only having to touch up occasionally. I love the matte look , but I have to say if your lips are on the dry side, it won't apply so well therefore moisturizing your lips beforehand would help.
