The bristles are absolutely soft and feel velvet smooth and silky on your eyelids. I use this brush to apply loose eyeshadow pigments. The brush has the perfect curved bristles to give you enough definition and dimension. I've never been particularly fussy about brushes, but because I got this in my rubybox, I gave it a try and am quite impressed with the difference between this and the standard little brushes that come with eyeshadows.
