Enter the quick dry top coat. I found the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry very good. It definitely dries your nail polish a lot quicker, but I have since found better products. I have to admit that although the price is a bit steeper, the OPI quick dry top coat is better - it dries quicker and is much shinier. The top coat dries about 30 seconds after applying it but one has to wait at least 2 minutes before applying it to wet nail polish, once the top coat is try the coats underneath are dry and hardened. As far as long lasting goes, the claimed 10 days doesn't seem realistic to me. If you don't do any housework then maybe you'll get a week of no chipping, but I chipped the polish off my one nail after the first day. But when used with other Sally Hansen products this does protect much better, that's obviously because the products are formulated to work together to get the most out of the products. They smudge all the time regardless of how long I've let them dry. This product is an absolute lifesaver. I would recommend this to everyone. Not only do your nails dry super fast but your nails are left looking super glossy like you just walked out the salon. After painting your nails you have to wait two minutes before applying this top coat. But once applied its instantly dry and smooth to the touch. My nails have never looked this good. I love this product. I'm so happy I've found something that actually helps me with my nail painting problem. My painted nails also lasted for a lot longer without chipping.
