This product was a 50/50 for me based on what it said it would deliver, what I expected and the actual results.
First, let's put hydration and moisture into perspective: "Dehydrated skin lacks water and therefore needs to be hydrated. Dry skin lacks oil and needs to be moisturized. Dry skin that is hydrated but not moisturized will still flake and have a rough texture."
Pros:
- Extremely moisturising
- Reduces flaking
- Eliminates asshiness and skin irrritation
- Only need to use once a day
Cons:
- Very oily and doesn't absorb well/quickly into the skin
- Very thick and can leave a thin layer on top of your skin
I would only use the repair cream at night so that it was not extremely thick and oily by the morning and residue wouldn't end up on my clothing. However, this meant sticking to my sheets if I got into bed immediately. In the middle of winter, it isn't ideal, but I would just give myself a few minutes before getting dressed after putting cream on.
My mom used it once at night after washing on her psoriasis as she isn't very fond of lotions, etc. She would only put it on her affected areas and claimed it decreased irritation and itchiness. She also stopped flaking on those areas. Unfortunately, she injured herself two weeks in and has been struggling to reach certain areas but I will update the review with images once she's back on her routine.
