Let me start with the brand, Smashbox Cosmetics is famous for its primers, and I know why! It is an amazingly smooth application, and makes my skin feel so soft and silky. It also leaves a perfect canvas to apply your foundation or BB cream on, and helps it last the entire day. This primer looks very dark in the bottle, and also before you have blended it in, but once blended it just gives a bronzed glow. I dont have to use much product because it glides over your skin so easily. I apply it over my moisturiser, under my BB cream. This primer can also be used alone, without foundation or BB cream, and maybe just a slight dusting of blush. The primer helps to minimise pores and imperfections, but if you need fuller coverage opt for foundation over it. The product also contains antioxidants, vitamin A & E, grape seed extract and green tea, so it feels luxurious, and nourishes your skin too. This primer suits all skin types once blended in, but if you find it too dark for your entire face, try using it where the sun would usually hit, as a bronzer. It makes my skin glow and my makeup last for ages, and my skin just feels so much smoother and softer when I use this. The colour in the bottle looks very dark, but once you’ve applied it on your skin (mine is very fair), it doesn’t look dark at all and gives your skin that very subtle healthy bronze/glowing look. You can use this primer alone or under foundation to increase its longevity. I usually use this under foundation, especially when I go out because I don’t even need to touch up with powder throughout the day. And I have definitely noticed the difference especially when I use products like tinted moisturisers that don’t give as much coverage as liquid foundations. After I’ve applied the primer to my face, I find that if I just use a bit of tinted moisturiser, my face has very good coverage, yet it looks really natural. My pores are less visible and my skin feels like silk! No jokes! You have to go to the Smashbox counter and apply some and you’ll feel the difference! If you think that this miracle product is simply heavenly, wait, there’s more. This product contains antioxidants, vitamin A & E, grape seed extract and green tea too! So not only does your skin look good, but it is being pampered at the same time.
