It is a very comfortable formula and I don't find it to be too clumpy either. The brush gives a good indication as to what to expect from the mascara. It gives the most beautiful fluttery effect to your lashes, it really separates them well and just fans them out. If you crave more drama, you can also try using it in conjunction with the Smashbox Photo Finish Lash Primer. It does not really flake, but it can smudge a smidge during the day.
