I bought the sponge thinking that if it is too rough for my face I can use it for my neck and shoulders. Fear not! It is so gentle and soft that I cannot imagine my life before it! :) I use it in the second stage of my double cleansing - so not to remove makeup, but to cleanse the skin and treat it a bit. I bought the pink one - Not sure if the others are so different from it. I can truly say that this little sponge have taken over my facial cleaning routine. My face is free from black heads and feels soft as silk with out me having to add any other facial cleanser when using the sponge. You can even clean the delicate skin area around the eye.
