It pushes cuticles back very easily without tearing or ripping the skin. Because it's made from wood it is more gentle on the skin than their metal or plastic counterparts. I am terrible at using cuticle clippers and scissors and often end up hurting myself. These little sicks easily file the excess skin away withing a few seconds with absolutely no pain at all. I also really love the bright colourful tips, it makes the product fun to use. Another great advantage is that not too much of the cuticle is removed - the base still remains as only the excess ragged skin is removed. This is VERY important because removing too much of the cuticle is not good at all. The cuticle acts as a protective barrier for newly produced nail cells and by protecting these cells it ensures that the nails grow healthy and strong. When cuticles are removed with clippers or scissors, not only are the new nail cells exposed to the elements but they are exposed to bacteria and other germs that can lead to infections. A pack of 8 will last a VERY long time and at around R35 it's a real steal.
