The liquid gold! Literally. I was extremely nervous about applying this, as mentioned - I didn't want to look like a Dorito. When you apply it, you get taken to the Caribbean with the scent of coconut and a hint of pineapple. The formula is a shimmery gold and after application, your skin has the tiniest particles of shimmer, perfect for summer days on the beach! (The particles are not glitter that sticks to your clothes and gets everywhere!) Although the instructions suggest to apply it whilst wearing dark clothes, it was laundry day in my household and I was forced to wear light-coloured clothes. Much to my surprise, there was no stains and my clothes made it out safely! I was worried that application may take long, but if you use the mitten by Xen-Tan, application takes less than 10 minutes. Unlike other self-tans, this one doesn't apply on dark, and it gradually darkens. I'd say that after about 6-8 hours, you can see the final result. Also, the formula isn't sticky on your skin, you can easily go out after application without feeling uncomfortable. If you want a richer, darker tan (suitable for summer) - you could apply it twice a week, but if you just want that healthy looking tan, apply the gel once a week after exfoliating with the body scrub.
