I use a piece of cotton wool to apply it and go over again to get the last bit around my eyes. For some reason when I use it, it stings and burns my eyes. It does last for a while afterwards and I have to use my facecloth dabbed in some water to take the burn away. I try to get as little as possible in my eye but it inevitably happens. It removes makeup well and is not oily. It lasts a long time but unfortunately, just as the previous reviewer, it also burned my eyes. I wouldn't buy this again and I can't recommend this unless you are super careful. I like this make-up remover for the most part. It does a very good job of removing makeup. But the main problem I have with this product is that it burns my eyes. I know it 's supposed to be water based, so it shouldn't cause stinging or irritation, but for some reason it does for me. I obviously try my best not to get the liquid into my eye, but that happens on occasion and it really burns. I've had times where my eyes were sore for even a few hours.
