Some lipsticks, when they fade tend to bleed into cracks but not this one ,for me it just leaves a nice stain behind. I never wear bright red lipstick, as I don't think it suits my pale face, and my lips are rather thin, so I feel the red really accentuates it. But that being said I am obsessed with dress-up parties and my sister has one almost every month. I then love to whip out the red lipstick and go crazy. I suppose then I feel a bit more daring :) So this will work perfectly for that. Thanks BB :) The packaging is cute and this lipstick is very affordable. It can be purchased at Clicks for about R70. It's highly pigmented and one swish of the stick and your lips are fire-engine red. It's very light-weight and it doesn't feel like you have a thick coating of lipstick on. However, I did find it a bit drying on my lips. The colour seems to last very well and I noticed that even after eating and having coffee my lips were still very red. But it does gradually fade through the day. It is a blue based ruby red that is totally stunning. The colour is super pigmented and covers your lips in just a couple of swipes. The texture of the lipstick is somewhat dry but I guess it helps to keep the lipstick in place as red lipsticks often travel far and beyond LOL. On the other hand I wish it was more creamy to allow me to apply a thin layer with a lip brush. I have very dark features and unfortunately red lipsticks make me look like a gypsy. What I often do is apply it with a lip brush on top of some lip balm to get a sheer layer. This way I can wear red but in a more subdued form. I haven't succeded at doing that with this lipstick. To conclude, I am very jealous of people who can wear a red lippie (blondes are usually the ones who can) because the shade of this lipstick is stunning. If you are looking to make a fashion statement with your lips, check this lippie out. Just remember to keep the rest of your makeup minimal. The packaging is very chic - its is rubbery and feels very luxurious and almost velvety. The colour I recieved has a creamy pink undertone and looks great if your're going for that very feminine look. Its intenese enough to wear on its own, or one can apply a coat of gloss for a more intensified shiny look which would be great for a night out. It feels very light on the lips, doesn't weigh it down and does not run either. Like the other girls mentioned it's very long lasting making it a lippie well worth purchasing. For a perfect application, first brush your lips lighty with a toothbrush and a little warm water to bring out the natural colour of your lips and also provide a smooth surface for application. Coral Sensation is a beautiful red lipstick with orange undertones and is a fabulous colour for the upcoming Spring 2011 season, as tangerine and bold red lips will be very trendy. What I love about this lipstick, is that it is super light. It feels completely weightless on your lips and it has a beautiful matte finish, which I love for bold colours like this. It lasts super long on the lips even after eating and drinking. If you dab a bit of tissue over your lips after you've applied this lipstick, it becomes a beautiful lip stain that lasts you quite a few hours. This lipstick, however, can be a bit dry for ladies who tend to have dry lips. So please make sure to moisturise and exfoliate well before applying this.
