My nails had become brittle and were splitting. I thought it was because of wearing too much nail polish, but, it turns it was because of the "no name" nail polish removers I had been using (I was buying them because they were cheaper).
They were stripping the moisture from my nails and drying them out COMPLETELY.
I decided to spend the extra R4 on a reputable nail polish remover, i.e Cutex.
I immediately saw a difference in my nails... the first time I used it, my nails already looked healthier and lively.
I have been using it for two weeks, and my nails are definitely stranger. I will be sticking to cutex from here on
I love Cutex nail polish remover - it's so affordable and there are so many different kinds - for artificial nails, strengthening, with lemon, with oils in. They're a great brand and do a wonderful job for a really good price.
An acetone nail polish remover that removes nail polish with little fuss though I am not convinced of its strengthening properties.
Cutex nail polish remover has been around for a long time. So much so that when asking a friend for nail polish remover I’d just ask for “Cutex” until I realised it’s the brand for nail polish as well so then I’d ask for “Cutex remover”.
I must say I was quite surprised to to see the nail polish remover I bought recently contained acetone as I had thought this was phased out a long time ago. A quick check on the Cutex site reveals that they use acetone in nail polish removers only to be used on natural nails as it dissolves nail polish quicker. However, Cutex claims the emollients in its acetone removers condition and strengthen your nails, thus do not dry out your nails. In addition Cutex Strengthening nail polish remover is fortified with calcium and proteins to promote strong, healthy nails.
My nails looked pretty dry after I used the remover and I immediately applied nail cream and honestly the only reason I bought the strengthening formula is because the milky white formulation looked less toxic than the others. It still smells just as toxic, thank you acetone, as the others. But yes it does remove the polish without too much effort and that is what I was after.
I’ll probably try other nail polish removers in future but I think I’ll always come back to Cutex. It does the job I bought it for and I have nail cream to nourish and moisturise my nails and cuticles.
Cutex nail polish remover has always been a great product. the packaging is attractive and the product is of good quality. this one in particular is great for strengthening your nails and it actually does work. takes off nail polish quick with no fuss
When I do wear nail polish, I find that this specific nail polish remover is the best and most effective of its line. I also love the fact that it moisturizes my nails as opposed to the dried out tight effect that other nail polish removers seems to give off. I can't really comment on the Strengthening effect as thanx to my mom, I have naturally hard durable nails and dont see any difference when using this. Will continue to purchase
Still the best 'drug store' nail polish remover. I have used it forever! I still remember my mom and all her friends using it when I was little. It's effective, quick and affordable.
I always use Cutex nail polish removers when I have time to remove my nail polish. I use Cutex because its a brand which has been around since I was very young, and I remember my mother using Cutex Nail Polish Remover. I've dried the strengthening nail polish remover, and the rapid remover polish. The Cutex nail polish removers are very strong and remove polish without damaging nails or cuticles. This polish remover isn't too damaging to nails, but rather it helps keep nails strong. I've found the Cutex Nail Polish Remover to remove polish quicker than any other nail polish remover.
Cutex has always been one of my favourite nail polish removers. They have a vast range to suit every need and personality, my favourite has to be this strengthening one. Nail polish removers have quite a damaging effect on nails, this remover has been fortified with proteins and calcium to improve nails condition and leave them strong and polish free.
The bottle is milky white with a purple twist-off lid and purple writing on a tear-drop shaped label. The polish remover itself is similar to milk as it’s a milky-white colour. This is very different looking to conventional nail polish removers as their always a coloured transparent liquid. It has a distinct smell to it but is not over-powering or intoxicating.
The remover is super easy to use and works very quick to remove even the most stubborn of nail varnish colours and formulas. I dab some onto cotton pads (its formula allows it to keep moist on the cotton pads and not evaporate). I then gently sweep the pads over my varnished nails, getting as much off as possible. I then use an ear bud dipped in the remover to clear the tiny corners and little crevices that the cotton pad missed. The remover is effective in removing nail varnish and leaving my nails moisturized. When using this brand, my nails are left cleaned and pristine, compared to other brands that often leave nails brittle and dry.
This is a great and effective nail polish remover that’s quick and easy to use and provides nails with great strength and moisture. A definite must buy for those who change their nail colour often of for those who dabble in all the latest nail craze trends.
