I transitioned from relaxed hair to an afro and this product for me was what rainfall is to a farmer. i transitioned and suffered from breakage due to not doing the big chop. this product rescued my hair, it conditions and softens the hair while minimizing breakage. I started using this product for the past 2 months and I can only find the 1lt size at a JHB Industrial distributor (Jumbo) because that's how much I love the product. I wish the large size was available at clicks but I can also understand why it is not. The 1lt lasts me a year at around R230. The product gives my hair strength immediately after rinsing out and minimizes shedding too! I would buy this product even if it was sold in 5lt bucket!

I do a protein treatment every 4 – 6 weeks depending on how my hair feels.
When I incorporate protein, this is one of my go-to options. It moisturizes my hair without giving it that “crunch”. My hair stays soft for days afterwards when I follow with proper the L.O.C. method.
Also, if I know that I’m going to have braids for about 6 weeks, I start with a wash and the ORS Hair Mayonnaise Treatment to strengthen and prepare my hair. I repeat the same process after I take the braids down and I've detangled, it helps my hair recover. I usually leave it on for at least 45 minutes. My hair just drinks up the treatment and the results are satisfying.
The scent is nothing special. It just smells like a hair product. It’s not overwhelming not is it sweet or anything like that.
The consistency is thick but applies very easily on damp hair after wash. Once it’s warm, it really gets to work. I love it because I can feel the difference after I rinse it out.
I like that they have smaller sizes which come in handy when travelling, but the jar is also a decent size for the price considering that a little goes a long way.

I use the ORS Hair Mayonnaise once or twice a month as it is a heavy protein. Protein treatments are essential for relaxed ethnic hair as the relaxing process breaks down the hair’s natural proteins. Depending on the state of my hair, I can add some of my favourite oils to the hair mayonnaise. I apply a generous amount to my freshly washed damp hair and massage thoroughly for even distribution. I then cover the hair with plastic cap and sit under a warm dryer for 15 -20 minutes if I have a busy day or 1 – 2 hours without heat if I have things to do around the house. After that, I rinse with warm water, apply leave-in conditioner and style as desired.
This product leaves my hair intensively conditioned, well moisturized and strengthened. This is a great product for maintaining healthy relaxed ethnic hair.
